1. Basic Concepts
Aramid Fiber Packing is a high-performance sealing material made of aramid fiber , which has excellent high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, and is widely used in dynamic or static sealing of industrial equipment.
2. Main features
High temperature resistance: can withstand temperatures from -200°C to +300°C for a long time, and can withstand higher temperatures (such as 500°C) for a short time.
Chemical stability: resistant to most acids, alkalis, solvents and oils (except strong acids and strong oxidants).
High mechanical strength: tensile strength is 5 times that of steel wire, excellent wear resistance, suitable for high pressure conditions.
Low friction coefficient: reduces wear on the shaft or valve stem and extends equipment life.
Good flexibility: easy to install and compress, adapt to complex sealing surfaces.
3. Common types
Pure aramid fiber braided packing: 100% aramid fiber, used in high temperature and high pressure environments.
Composite aramid packing: mixed with graphite, PTFE or rubber, etc., to enhance lubricity or sealing.
ramid + graphite: high temperature resistant and self-lubricating, suitable for steam valves.
Aramid + PTFE: improve chemical inertness, used for corrosive media.
