Ceramic Fibers Fabric and Glass Fibers Fabric are significantly different in composition (metal oxides vs. glass materials), high temperature resistance, mechanical strength, chemical properties and application fields, which are suitable for different industrial needs.


1.The composition of the material is different

1.Ceramic Fibers Fabric: Fibers are formed by drawing molten metal oxides in a special process

2.Glass Fibers Fabric: It is made by drawing or blowing the molten glass.


2.The physical properties are different

1. High temperature resistance: The high temperature resistance of Ceramic Fibers Fabric is much higher than that of Glass Fibers Fabric. Ceramic Fibers Fabric can be used for long periods of time at temperatures up to 1000°C or even higher, while Glass Fibers Fabric is typically heat-resistant at around 500°C.

3. Thermal stability: Ceramic Fibers Fabric has better thermal stability and can maintain its performance in an environment with rapid temperature changes. Glass Fibers Fabric may crack or break when there are large temperature changes.

4. Electrical insulation: Ceramic Fibers Fabric and Glass Fibers Fabric both have good electrical insulation, but due to the better high temperature resistance of Ceramic Fibers Fabric, its electrical insulation performance at high temperature is also better.

1. Corrosion resistance: Ceramic Fibers Fabric have good corrosion resistance to most chemical media. In contrast, Glass Fibers Fabric is less resistant to corrosion.

2. Water resistance: Glass Fibers Fabric has good water resistance and can be used in humid environments or underwater applications. Ceramic Fibers Fabric, on the other hand, have relatively poor water resistance and are not suitable for long-term exposure to moisture.


4.The field of application is different

1. Ceramic Fibers Fabric: Due to its high temperature resistance and high strength, Ceramic Fibers Fabric is mainly used in aerospace, high-temperature furnace lining, automobile brakes, thermal insulation and protection of chemical equipment, and insulation of high-temperature pipelines.
